Contact the editorial desk

Audio DSP Hub is written and maintained by a small editorial desk in Chicago. We welcome corrections, source requests and technical correspondence from working engineers, students and archivists. Every note that reaches the desk is read by a person, and requests that carry a citation tend to be answered first.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 Central Time. Notes that arrive outside those hours are read on the next working morning.

What to include

  • The page name, as it appears in the address bar.
  • The figure or sentence that you believe is wrong.
  • Any source you can cite, with an author and a date.
  • A working address, so a reply can reach you.

For source requests, describe the recording and the measurement you need rather than the answer you expect. A clear question is faster to answer than a tentative conclusion.

Send a note to the desk

Use the request form below for corrections, source requests or general correspondence. Choose the subject that fits best so the note is routed to the right editor.

How a note is handled

Every note is logged with the date it arrived and the page it refers to. A correction is checked against the cited source, then either applied with a dated change note or answered with an explanation of why the wording stands. A source request is matched to the nearest published measurement; where none exists, the desk may add the measurement to a pending list and say so. Technical correspondence is answered by the editor who owns that channel group, which is why a precise page reference shortens the exchange considerably.

The desk keeps correspondence for as long as it takes to resolve the question, and no longer than the retention window described in the privacy policy. Notes are not published, and a reply address is never shared beyond the editor handling the thread.

Post and telephone

Written correspondence may be sent to the Chicago address above. Please mark the envelope with the channel group, for example Fundamentals or Mastering, so it reaches the right desk tray. The telephone line is answered during office hours and is intended for scheduling and short clarifications; detailed technical questions are better sent through the form, where the page reference and the figure are recorded together.

What the desk cannot do

This is an editorial reference, not a repair counter. The desk does not take in recordings for restoration, does not quote a job, and does not distribute audio files of any kind. Requests for product files, activation codes or media assets fall outside the desk's work and will be answered with a pointer to the relevant vendor's own support channel.

Before writing, check the frequently asked questions. A large share of notes the desk receives are already answered there, and the answer is faster to read than a reply is to arrive.
